The Stockton Chorale’s Classicworks concert, All the Ends of the Earth, brings large scale orchestral choral music to Stockton for a centerpiece event of our 75th Anniversary “Diamond Season.” The Missa Pastoril, a Latin mass composed by José Maurício Nunes Garcia in the early 1800s, serves as the centerpiece of the program, paired with a newly commissioned choral work by acclaimed composer Kile Smith, All the Ends of the Earth, based on Psalms 61 and 67 and written specifically to honor the Chorale’s 75 years, plus an additional new piece for Master Chorale.
This concert features a full guest orchestra, winds, brass, timpani, strings, and organ, alongside vocal soloists including soprano, mezzo soprano, tenor, and baritone, performing with the Stockton Chorale and Master Chorale.
